Lorax Sensory Bottle

Have you read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss (affiliate link) with your kids yet? My kids enjoy the rhymes and the colorful pictures. The Truffula Tree tufts look like big fuzzy pompoms, and inspired this sensory bottle!

Lorax Sensory bottle

  • empty clear plastic bottle (I used a washed peanut butter container)
  • pompoms (the Truffula Tree tufts)
  • yellow pipe cleaners, cut into 2-3 inch pieces (the Truffula Tree trunks)
  • hot glue

Lora inspired Dr. Seuss sensory bottle. I soaked the plastic container to remove the label, and then used a couple drops of lemon essential oil to get rid of the gluey traces of the label.

Throw the pompoms and the pipe cleaners into the bottle, and hot glue the lid on (if you are concerned about little ones opening the bottle – check to make sure they can’t take the lid off!). Then they held and shook the bottle – while we read and after!

It was also fun for my baby to push and roll and try to chase the bottle!
