We are pulling this LEGO Star Wars activity out for May the 4th…be with you! It combines LEGO Star Wars pieces and homemade putty for lots of fun — great for Star Wars Day!
This putty activity actually started out as slime…but then we added too much liquid starch and turned it into putty!
Star Wars LEGO Putty
- 1 cup Elmer’s Washable School Glue
- 1 Cup liquid starch
- 1 1/2 tsp green liquid watercolors (approximately)
- LEGO Star WarsLEGO Star Wars mini vehicles
I keep a bowl, measuring cups, and spoons specifically for making non-edible sensory play materials. That way we aren’t using the same things we cook with, and we aren’t throwing out the materials either (another option would be to grab from your recycling).
We added all the ingredients to a bowl and mixed. And mixed and mixed. It takes a few minutes of gloppy goopiness. My kids don’t like that part, so I did it. I mixed for about 5 minutes and then put it into a round shape and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Then it’s time to play!
