Halloween Slime

We love Halloween activities and Halloween books, so we’re combining the two to bring you Halloween Read & Play! Our activity, Halloween slime, works well with lots of Halloween books – pretty much anywhere you find a cauldron or some goo! Our play was inspired by Goodnight Goon by Michael Rex, a fun parody of the classic Good Night Moon.

The mush from the classic book is replaced by green goop in this parody. So we created our own gooey green slime.
Halloween slime! FUN Halloween activity for kids! How To Make Halloween Slime

Shake the liquid starch before pouring it. Then mix the glue and liquid starch together. It takes a few minutes for it to really come together. We usually start with a spoon and then end up mixing it with our hands.

Halloween Slime - 3 ingredients!

After it’s all mixed, I put out the goggly eyes and a cauldron we had and the kids mixed the eyes and played with the goo in the cauldron.

We are big fan of Michael Rex’s – we also loved his Brooms Are For Flying (check out our activity!)
