Hello! Thank you for stopping by. Here you will find simple, fun ways to engage your children.
I’m a mom to 3 active kids, and I’ve had my share of Pinterest fails, so I tend to keep things simple. The ideas we enjoy the most are easy to set up and fun! This blog offers ideas for fun with children in mind, including art projects, games, learning ideas, snacks, and more. There will also be the occasional parenting article, or tip as I stumble upon something that makes life easier.
If you are taking a look around, some of my favorite popular ideas are:
Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem, “The Swing,” inspired naming this blog “The Pleasantest Thing.” The opening stanza to this poem has always resonated with me: “How do you like to go up in a swing/ Up in the air so Blue/ Oh I do think it the pleasantest thing/ Ever a child can do!” I feel this poem captures the joy of childhood and the feeling of wonder I see in the eyes of my boys each day. My hope is that this blog explores ways to keep that wonder growing.
A few of my guest posts and features include:

I worked part-time as a lawyer when my oldest son was a baby, and then went back to work full time for a bit. After my littlest guy came around, I decided it was time to stay home full-time with my favorite job. (Well, my favorite job apart from the hour between dinner and bedtime stories!)
I hope you enjoy your visit. With apologies to Stevenson – Oh, I do think playing with my kids is the pleasantest thing ever a mom can do!
