Moms Celebrating Moms: A Tribute to the Mother in Me
Today we are welcoming Angelique from AngeliqueFelix.com, where she posts about a topic near to my heart- “The Magic of Play”! Angelique regularly shares ways to play through music, movement, and creation. I especially love her infant massage series (here is the first post). You can also check out her YouTube series, where she shares songs and stories your children are sure to love.
Thank you Carolyn for inviting me and giving me a chance to share with your readers who my favorite mom is. First of all it has to be said that this is a lovely series! Being a Mother often seems to be the less valued job around. If you are a mother you know that a mom’s job is never ending and that they also barely go on holiday
We do receive (a lot) self made presents as drawings and many, many hugs and smoochy kisses!!
I know a lot of mothers in real and virtual life, all of them have brought me inspiration, some of them made me wonder, other’s surprised me and they all made me smile.
There is one mother in particular that I would love to dedicate this picture and quote too.
I should tell her every day how much I love her, but often I forget….She is special to me because she reflects a part of me that I didn’t think to have or to be able to express. This mom made me go on when the world around me seemed to fall in pieces when doctors discovered breastcancer in my body.
Thank you for being in my life, you changed my view on the world, my perspective on the word LOVE!
This picture and quote is dedicated to the mother in ME. I finally came home….
“A little girl, asked where her home was, replied, “where mother is.” ~Keith L. Brooks
Angelique Felix creates safe spaces where parents can play with their children (0-6 years old); where children learn in a FUN way; where adults encounter their inner child. Play is a holistic process in which body, meets mind and soul, where 100 languages are spoken and being heard. Angelique is a certified Infant massage instructor for the International Association of Infant Massage. But most important she is mom of Chanel.
